Lower Gallia is a Roman province consisting of the southern half of Gaul. It is made up of seven Electorates and is governed by the Lower Gallic Proconsul. The provincial capital is Massilia, which is also the headquarters of the Roman Imperial Navy. It is bordered by Upper Gallia to the north, Hispania to the south, Italia and Germania to the east and Mauretania Caesariensis to the far south over the Mediterranean Sea.
