The Medaglia per il Servizio per l'Impero, or the Medal for Service to the Empire, abbrieviated as MSI is a Roman award issued for brilliant feats performed by Roman citizens. The MSI is awarded to both military and civilian recipients for acts of bravery to the authorship of a fantastic piece of literature. On average around a hundred people are ordained with the Medal by Senators at ceremonies held three times each year. It is rare, however, that the Emperor formally gifts recipients with the Medal.
