The XIP was founded in 967BC, fifty-eight years after the First Xanj Empire fell due to economic constraints and continous pressure from the Arcrinid Empire up north. It was a parlimentarial monarchy in which prefects would see to the conformation of the populace to the laws set by the king, the first of which was Shanumenavesir, the Formidable. They also were responsible for keeping the kings actions in check.
